Jubilee Travel Presents in Mexico Adventure Travel Conference

Jubilee Travel’s Marketing Director, Judy Karwacki traveled to San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas State in Mexico from August 18 to Sept 2, 2014, to lead a session on experiential community travel at ATMEX 2014 (Adventure Travel Mexico), sponsored by Visit Mexico in partnership with the Adventure Travel Trade Association.  Judy's session focused on the shift toward experiential tourism, where travelers are seeking unique, personally meaningful experiences that personal connections with the local culture and people.  Judy was accompanied by Eric Mindling of Traditions Mexico and Mauricio Miramontes of Xaman Expeditions and La Mano de Mono, both of which operate cultural tour operations in Mexico. Judy will be posting blogs about her travels in Chihuahua (including the world-famous Copper Canyon) and Chiapas (also the home of Palenque, one of the best known Mayan archaeological sites). And we will be adding information on cultural and nature tours in Mexico in the next few weeks so be sure to stay tuned.  

Judy is considered an expert in experiential travel and in Mexico.  This is the fifth time in the past three years the Government of Mexico has invited her to participate in conferences and product inspection trips in various locations around the country (Mayan Riviera, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Veracruz and Oaxaca).
